The array is patient.

Somewhere in the dark, a machine keeps looking.

OUTPOST is a space and number observatory in an imagined 1979 cabinet. Its observations and arithmetic are real.

Division S receives public solar-wind and magnetic measurements from NOAA SWPC every ten minutes. Charts summarize active, good-quality observations; missing data is left missing. Observation times, platforms, cached reception and stale readings are identified in each report. These are descriptive summaries, not forecasts.

Division A conducts an exact segmented prime sieve, 4,096 integers at a time. It records prime occupancy, twin pairs and consecutive-prime gaps, including sector boundaries. Records belong to this local survey; they are not claims of new mathematical discoveries.

A shared server transmits reports at about 37 characters per second, including when nobody is watching. The displayed text can lag behind the latest observation. There is no AI, no mining and no computation on your device beyond displaying the terminal.

The instrument panel counts transmitted text characters since the counter was introduced, not per visitor. CPU is measured from the server application's process time over elapsed time; 100% means one full core. The moving receiver indicator follows the shared transmission. Blank chart columns and a dotted time axis mark missing observations.
